VP Binay creates Task Force to address Housing needs in Cebu and Bohol; Private Sector, Foreign Community eyed for Support
Vice President Jejomar C. Binay on Friday created a multi-agency task force to ensure proper coordination of efforts to address the housing needs of earthquake victims in Bohol and Cebu.
Binay, who chairs the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC), said he has enlisted national government agencies and local government units to help in the rehabilitation of houses damaged or destroyed by the earthquake. He also said they will tap the support of the private sector and the foreign community.

Borrowers of the National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC) in Cebu and Bohol may now avail of a 6-month moratorium on payment amortization, said Vice President Jejomar C. Binay.
“Earthquake-hit residents in Cebu and Bohol may avail of the program. Their accounts must be in current status or 0-3 months in arrears as of September 30, 2013,” Binay said.
